March 31

Hi!!!   Colin has done such a great job updating everyone over the past week, I don't know how well I'm going to do but I'm going to try.  Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  The next six months are going to be touch and go.   Every day is going to be a different challenge but I'm up for it.  The doctors seem happy with my progress.  Im getting another scope and biopsy tomorrow.  The scope yesterday showed some swelling and they want to see if it's gone down at all.  I will have a ct scan with contrast on Monday as long as the biopsy is ok.  That being said I got up and walked three times today.  I was even able to walk up 4 steps!   I am still pretty out of it and on a lot of medications so I will do my best to keep everyone updated.   Please understand that it is a little difficult for me to text/email/call because of my constant care and interruptions throughout the day.  I will do my best to keep my blog and Facebook updated to keep everyone in the loop.   Thanks again!!   ❤️😘💜

Moving on up

As I take a moment to finally reflect over the last few days, it seems surreal. Four days blended into defined moments, hours, milestones. Quite frankly it's been a blur. One thing is for sure, without everyone behind us I don't know how we could have done it. I read each and every comment to Heather whether she's asleep or not. So....thank you, to everyone....again, I say thank you!

Today was a big day. Sprung from the ICU; moving on up to the 11th floor. That said, tomorrow we walk. Hurdles, obstacles,  challenges, call them whatever you want. She knows the meaning of none of them and her strength knows no bounds. Heather is simply the strongest person I know. Continued defiance of the norm, and the best care in the world will persevere. This I have no doubt.

Flowers are not permitted to transplant patients so please don't send them. A card/ note/simple get well wishes are welcomed.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter..!

Heather continues to be unbelievably strong.

Dr. Cruz and his team came in earlier this morning to check on her. Her face has been flush and she as been itchy. He seemed to think one of the antibiotics didn't agree with her. The plan is to run them individually today, rather than in a giant "cocktail". In hopes of singling out the culprit. They were happy with her progress and plan on her heading to the transplant floor by tomorrow night.

I'll post the the address and room number when I know it.

Thanks for all the support!!

Finally

Well, once again I'm behind the keys (hopefully for the last time).

With one ring of my phone an emotional exchange in the hallway. Dr. Cruz became the man quite possibly gave Heather her normal life back.

The road has been long. Family and friends, coworkers, hell, people who have no clue who we are have made it all possible. That being said its not over, but the future looks bright.

In true Heather fashion she was a trooper. Dr. Cruz said the surgery went well and he was able to deliver on everything promised. She'll be in ICU for a few days then step down to the transplant floor. With her determination and my constant, let's call it "encouragement" we'll get back up to speed in no time.

I'll do my best to update over the next few days but I'm not promising anything.

-Colin

Update 2

It's a go!!  The organ is viable.   Taking me back for surgery now.   Will be in until about midnight!!

Update

There's a 50/50 chance that the organ is viable.  We won't know anything more until this afternoon.  We will update as soon as we hear something.

It's Time!!!!!!

Just got the call about an hour ago that they have an organ.  We are at the hospital.  They have surgery scheduled for 8am.   I will have someone update as much as possible.  Please send lots of prayers my way!!!

Tuesday March 22

Woke up early and went in to clinic.  They did bloodwork and hooked me up to fluids.  I colored in my coloring book as we waited for the doctors to round.   They actually made their rounds fairly early.  Everything looked good on my labs.  Dr. Cruz is hopeful that we will get a call soon.  It's getting to be a little frustrating waiting but I really don't have much of a choice.  We were done and out of the hospital by 9:30 and were home by 10.

When we got home I ran to Target to pick up a prescription.  I went home and started packing my stuff for this weekend.  Colin came home around 1 and we ran to Lowes and got a carpet scrubber.   I was feeling pretty good until about 2.   I slowly started going into my fog.  I sat on the couch and relaxed hoping it would go away.

I had therapy at 5 so I left and went to therapy.   As I sat there it was getting worse.  I don't remember much about my therapy session.   I went home, put on my tpn and went to bed.  I was feeling awful by the time I got home.  I slept a little last night so hopefully I will be feeling ok today.

Monday March 21

Woke up, got ready for the day.  Put on a fluid.   When my fluid was done I went to Best Buy.

We have been having a random issue with my Jeep where every once in a while when I go to start it, the interior lights up like a Christmas tree and all kinds of alarms start going off and lights are flashing everywhere.   All of our "research" on the issue leads back to the remote start.  I had made an appointment with Best Buy because they installed the remote start and it's under warranty as long as it remains in my car. I dropped off my car and walked over to the mall that was next door.  I walked around and browsed for about an hour while I waited for him to finish.

I went back after an hour and he said he couldn't get it to do it and that if it happens again to give him a call.  I also stopped and got an oil change before heading home because my car was due.

After I got home I got stuff out for dinner.  I wasn't feeling well so I put on another fluid.  I layed down while the fluid was running.   After that I sat down and painted for a few hours.  I made dinner.  Put on my tpn around 5:30 since we have clinic on Tuesday and layed in bed.

I slept a little last night.   We were up at 5.  I will post more about my appointment later.  Have a good day.

Sunday March 20

Happy 1st Day of Spring!!!

Woke up to 24 degree weather and snow flurries!

Ran to the grocery store in the morning and got a couple things to make fruit salad.  Got home, made the fruit salad.  We got ready and I got motivated.  We went down to the strip district and walked around.  We found this adorable new store that opened with hand made clothes from Peru.  They had the most awesome hand made shoes as well.  We ended up getting a sweater for Libby.  It was only $15 and is adorable!!  I'm excited to give it to her!!  She's going to love it!

I also stopped at the Art Steel store and got some skeleton keys for Courtney so she can make her wind chime.

We got home and Colin started watching March Madness.  I went in to the bedroom and watched Say Yes to the Dress.  I started not feeling well and fell asleep for a little bit.  I got up and decided to get motivated.  Colin needed a couple things from the drug store so I ran to Rite Aid.  I got back and just chilled out the rest of the evening.

I put on my tpn around 7:30 and went to bed.  Today is freezing again.  Hopefully it will warm up.  I will post more later!!  Have a good day!!

Saturday March 19

Got up and finished my painting.   Got showered and dressed.  Ran over to Michaels and grabbed some other paint colors for a new painting I'm going to start. I think when it gets nice I'm going to start taking my stuff down to the park and I'll sit outside and paint.  They have a bench down there and it's pretty peaceful. I'll probably start doing that sometime this week.

I got home from Michaels and Colin dropped me off at The Sheridan downtown.  My cousin Melissa's girls had a dance competition.  I was able to stay and see Mia dance.  Then I started to not feel well. Colin was done with his errands so he picked me up and we came home.  I put on my pajamas and watched tv.  That was the extent of my day/evening.  I was in a really bad fog and really out of it so I just stayed home.   Colin went out to dinner with Matt.  I put on my tpn and went to bed.

Hopefully I'll be feeling better today.  We will see.  Have a good day!!!

Friday March 18

Today was a pretty uneventful day.  I got up and put on my fluids.   I ran to Dollar Tree to grab a couple of things.  I came home and cleaned up.  I went through my clothes and shoes again to make a pile of winter stuff to send home and get it out of the apartment.  I did some laundry and cleaned up.

Mom had sent me an art easel with paints and pencils and a huge art kit a couple of months ago so I got it out and set it up.  I decided I would do some painting.  I spent the afternoon painting.   Colin got home and I made dinner.   We went over to Dicks to look at shorts and then came home and watched a movie on Netflix.

I put on my tpn and went to bed.  I was tired.  I fell asleep easily but woke back up around 10 and was up most of the night.  Hopefully today will be better.   Have a good day!!

Thursday March 17

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I was up extra early because Honey was up calling for mom throughout the night.  I got up and got ready for the day.  I packed up my stuff, loaded up my car and left around 8 to head back to Pittsburgh.  I didn't want to leave too early and get stuck in Pittsburgh traffic.   The drive home was easy.  Hardly any traffic and I moved the whole way.

I was home around 10.  I unloaded the car and put my stuff away.  I ran to the grocery store to grab a couple of things.  I started to not feel well when I got home so I put on my fluids and layed down in bed for a little bit.  I think I fell asleep for about an hour.  I hung out in the bedroom and watched tv until my fluids were done.

I didn't do much the rest of the afternoon / evening because I wasn't feeling well.   I put on my tpn at bedtime and went to bed around 8.  Pretty uneventful day.

Wednesday March 16

Woke up early and drove to Altoona to surprise my mom.

Got there around 8.  She was up and vacuuming the house.   They were playing old records from when Honey was younger.

I came on a good day.   There were people in and out of the house all day.   They brought her new lift chair.   She got her new hospital bed.  The home nurse was there,  the physical therapist and a couple of other people.  It was a revolving door from 10am to 2pm.  I'm surprised Honey wasn't asking to go to bed by 4.

Around 2 I put on my fluids and hung out with Honey to give mom a break.  After my fluids were done I made dinner for Honey and Rosemary.  I was going to go visit my grandparents but I started to not feel well and decided to stay here and relax rather than drive over there.

Around 6 my Uncle Rick came over to put Honey's bed together upstairs so I have a place to sleep.  I got ready for bed around 8 and layed down.  I slept ok last night.  I'm getting packed up and preparing to head back to Pittsburgh.

Have a good day!!

Tuesday March 15

Woke up bright and early and went to clinic.  I wasn't feeling well so I was glad I was going in so that they could see what it is like when I'm in my fog and maybe some of the tests or blood pressure would show what is going on,

We got there around 6.   They did my labs by 7.  Gave me fluids.  I went for an ultrasound of my liver so that they could make sure everything was functioning properly and to determine if I need another liver biopsy before they put me through one.  While they were doing the ultrasound he checked my kidneys, pancreas and bladder as well.   The tech told me everything liked good and I was back to my room within about a half hour.  It was pretty quick and painless.

When I got back to my room Bill was there.  He said all my labs looked good.  My ammonia levels are right smack in the middle and that he wanted Dr. Cruz to see me but when he did we could go because it would take a little while for them to read the ultrasound and get the report.    About 5 minutes later Dr. Cruz came in and said everything looks good.   They are just waiting on the perfect organ for me.   He's hopeful that it will happen soon.   He hasn't had any offers in two weeks but it's going to happen soon.

I also learned that there are under 300 people on the small bowel transplant list.  That is really encouraging and I'm at the top of the list.  So we are hoping and praying that it happens soon.

We left the hospital and went home.  I took the movies back.  I chilled out and had a pretty uneventful afternoon.  I got together Colin's dinner.   Did some laundry and cleaned up the kitchen.  Nothing too exciting.

I got my tpn together and put it on a little early.  Depending on how I feel I may go to Altoona on Wednesday to give my mom a little bit of a break.

We will see how my

Monday March 14

Got up early.   Showered, got dressed and ran to the grocery store.  After the store I ran and exchanged a pair of flip flops that I got for Colin.  I grabbed the wrong size so I took them back.

When I was done I decided to get a pedicure.   My feet are a mess and have really been bothering me.   I haven't touched them in over a year.   I found a nail place close to the house.  I went in, signed in and the guy said it would be about a half hour.  I was fine with that.  I sat down and read a couple magazines.   About 45 minutes later he took me back to the pedicure chair.  He filled it with water and soap and said that the girl would be with me in a few minutes.   I sat in that chair for a half hour waiting.   It was ridiculous.   They didn't acknowledge me at all.  Finally the girl got done with the person she was working on.   She came over and started my pedicure.  I tried talking to her and asking questions and she wanted no parts of it.   She was very short with me and pretty rude in general.  She kept looking at her cell phone and texting while she was doing my pedicure.  It was not a very good experience.

For the first time ever.....my feet were so bad and dry that she pretty much had to use a cheese grater thing on them to get off the dry skin.   I've never had them do that before.  The positive is....my feet are soft and I have pretty pink toenails.

I got home from the pedicure and sat on the couch.  I put on a movie and fell asleep for a little bit.  I got stuff together for Colin's dinner.  When he got home I made dinner, put on my tpn early since we have clinic and layed down in bed to relax because I was so tired.  I was falling asleep off and on.   I was really out of sorts starting around 2:00 and never regained my clarity.  I was up off and on all night feeling like crap.

Hopefully today will be better.   Time will tell!

Sunday March 13

Was up at 4am.  I couldn't go back to sleep.  I stayed in bed until I heard Shawn and Courtney up.  They were up around 6:30.  I got up and took off my tpn.  I got showered and dressed.  They were packing up their stuff when I got out of the shower.  They got ready and left around 8.

After they left I went to the grocery store and got everything for dinners this week.  I came home and started cleaning up.  I did a couple loads of laundry and overhauled the house.  I organized and cleaned up my closet.  I put away the new clothes my mom got me and organized my shoes.

Today was the Crafters Hours Fundraiser that Kelly was hosting.  They had 3 classes and during two of them, they put me on FaceTime so I could see everyone there and what they were making.  It was really nice to be able to see everyone.   Thank you to everyone who attended to support me and for all your generous donations.   I wish I could have been there.  It looks like it was a lot of fun and the different pieces everyone made were beautiful!!!   A special thank you to Kelly Schavnis for hosting the event and to Rut and Karen for all their hard work!  You guys are amazing!!!

Colin got home around 3.  I was happy to see him.  We had been apart for most of the week.  I was pretty emotional when he got home.  I had a very emotional week between everything with Honey and missing home and my family this week.  I cried a couple of times because I'm homesick.

I was laying on the couch and suddenly felt something wet.  My ostomy bag broke.   It was all over the pillows and all over me.  I ran to the bathroom and cleaned myself up.  I changed the bag and cleaned myself up.  I put on my pajamas and got ready for bed.  The bag just added to my emotional state.

I put on my tpn around 8 and went to bed.  I'm laying here now hoping to fall asleep.  Wish me luck.  Goodnight!!

Saturday March 12

We were up early today.  I was watching the news to see what was going on with the parade.  Turns out they were starting the parade a few blocks from the Strip District which is where we were going to go in the morning.  That put a complete wrench in our plans.

I went back online and looked for something to do.  We decided to go to the Carnegie Museum of Art.  It's in Oakland near the hospital.

We got dressed and ready.  We stopped at IHOP for breakfast on the way.  We got to the museum with no problems and no traffic!!!

It was a really cool place.  They had amazing art and the dinosaur exhibit was dumbfounding!  We spent a couple of hours there.

Andrew Carnegie funded these dinosaur exhibits because he was fascinated by them.  This is his personal collection which makes the exhibit that much more interesting.  It was a cool place and I would highly recommend it.

After the museum we went back to the house and I put on my fluids.  Shawn and Courtney went to grab something to eat and I layed down and watched tv.  They got back after about an hour and we just sat around and talked.

It was about 3:30 when my fluids were done.  Shawn was tired so we decided to stay in and watch a movie.  We just hung out the rest of the evening and talked and watched tv.  They ordered takeout for dinner, came back and we watched a movie.  I put on my tpn and went to bed around 9.   Don't forget to change your clocks tonight!!!   Sweet dreams!

Friday March 11

Got up early.  Ran to the grocery store to grab a couple of things and get breakfast for my mom.

Hung out with mom for the day.  We did a little more shopping.

Met up with Shawn and Courtney.  They came to Pittsburgh for a visit.  We just hung out at the house for the evening.  We watched a movie, I put on my tpn and we went to bed.  Nothing too exciting.  We looked up a couple of things to do downtown to avoid the parade on Saturday.  We will see what we decide in the morning.

Thursday March 10

Got up and left my Grandmas to go to Honeys and meet my mom.   We got packed up and left for Pittsburgh.

The drive was nice and easy.   We got there by noon.  Colin left to go back to Lancaster.  Mom and I hung out at the apartment and then went shopping at the Waterfront.

I got a pair of Tom's on clearance at Journeys for $20.  They were originally 79.00.   They are really cute!  I was excited about the purchase.   We also went to bath and body works and mom got me some "sleepy" type sprays and plug ins to see if they will help me sleep.  We stopped in a couple more stores then went to dinner.  we went to Red Robin (mom's favorite restaurant).   After dinner we rented a movie and chilled out for the evening.

We went to bed around 9:30.  I fell asleep pretty easily because we had an eventful day.

Thursday, March 10, 2016

Wednesday March 9

I slept a little bit off and on.

I got up and went to Walmart to get a cell phone charger because the charger I had stopped working and didn't charge my phone overnight.

I left there and went to Honey's.  I spent the morning/afternoon at Honeys.  She had a lot of company off and on throughout the day between the nurses and therapists.  Family was coming in and out.  It was a little overwhelming but she enjoyed the company.

I was there all day and most of the evening.  I didn't get back to Grandma's until after 8.  I put on my tpn and went to bed.  It was a long day and I was exhausted so I fell asleep pretty quickly.  I was up every 2 hours or so.  It was a little bit of a rough night but I did sleep a little.

Today is a new day.  We will see what it brings.

Tuesday March 8

Woke up extra early and went in to the hospital for clinic.  They did my labs and bloodwork and said everything looks good.  My ammonia levels are perfect.   They are very happy with how everything looks.

We were actually done with clinic by 10 and headed home.   While we were there I talked to the doctor about going to visit Honey in Altoona.  They ok'd everything so I talked to Colin and decided I was going to go and stay overnight to see Honey and to check on my mom and make sure she was ok.

I left and drove to Altoona.   It's about an hour and a half drive.   I got there and went to the hospital where Honey was.  I walked in and surprised my mom.  I didn't tell anyone I was coming.  Honey looked really good.  She had a mild heart attack.   Has congestive heart failure.  The fluid in her lungs has cleared up and they have her scheduled for discharge.

I went with my mom and aunt peg to run a couple of errands to prepare for Honey to get home.  We got back to the house and Honey had just gotten home and was sitting in her chair in the living room like nothing had happened.

She looks good!  She has her wits about her.

I stayed at my Grandma and Pap's.  They were very gracious and made a bedroom for me in the basement. I slept pretty good.

Monday, March 7, 2016

Monday March 7

Didn't sleep well again last night.  Was worrying about Honey.  Mom and I were texting at 1am.  She slept at the hospital last night and stayed by Honey's side.

I got up around 6 and put my fluids on.  When they were done I got showered and dressed.  I ran to the grocery store to get stuff to make for dinner.  Then I ran to target to see if my prescription was called in and it wasn't yet.  I'll have to ask them for it at my appointment tomorrow.

I got home and made chicken enchilada casserole and chipped steak noodle bake casserole.  It's enough to last for the week so I won't have to cook any more this week.  I was supposed to have therapy today but it got cancelled again.  I put my pjs on early and did laundry, cleaned up the house and went through my clothes and shoes to send my winter stuff to get ready for spring.

I'm feeling like I accomplished a lot today.  I didn't sit down until around 3.  Colin came home and we watched tv for a little bit.  I got him dinner and we started watching Wild.  We've seen the movie already but it's pretty good so we watched it again.  Around 5:30 I got my tpn together and ready since we have to get up at 5 for my clinic appointment.

I'm just hanging out laying in bed now.  Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight.  I'm exhausted.  I will update after my appointment tomorrow.   Have a good night!! Sweet dreams!!

Sunday March 6

We got up early and I put a fluid on.   We put in a movie and watched The Room.   Definitely an interesting movie.  I would recommend watching it.  It was worth it.

After we watched the movie Colin was watching golf on tv and I fell asleep for about an hour.  When I woke up, I got dressed in my warm comfy clothes....long underwear and all and we went to play pitch and putt.  I was ok at the beginning but started to not feel well towards the end of the round.   We left and came home after our 9 rounds were done.   It was nice to get outside and get some fresh air.  It also gave Colin a little bit of golf time even though I'm terrible at it.   He didn't seem to mind.   He's a great teacher but I'm a horrible student!!!

On our way home, I got a call from my dad that Honey was in the hospital.   My Uncle Rick found her laying on the floor when he stopped over for coffee and called 911.   They took her to the hospital, ran tests and determined that she had a heart attack.  My mom went to Altoona and is going to stay with her at the hospital.  There is fluid in her lungs which they are giving her medicine for and she has a lot of swelling in her legs and feet so they have her on something for that too.   She is slow in her speech and her breathing is shallow but for the most part she's alert.  We are just hoping that she's not in too much pain and she's comfortable.   She's not complaining at all but she never does.  Honey is 96 years old.   She has lived a very good, rewarding life.  We are all praying that God will take care of her and do what is best.   Please keep her in your prayers.

We went home and I layed down.  We watched the golf tournament the rest of the afternoon.  For dinner we ran over to Red Robin.   We sat at the bar and watched the end of the tournament.  After it was over we went home, I put on my tpn and went to bed.

Sunday, March 6, 2016

Saturday March 5

Got up and went down to The Strip District for a walk. We got some produce at the produce stand for Colin's smoothies.  We went over to the Robinson Town Center Mall to do some more walking and so Colin could check out Golf Galaxy.  It was a pretty cool place.   Just a huge sporting goods store full of golf.   They had a Five Below which I was super excited about.  I got some new colored pencils, a new adult coloring book and a pencil sharpener.

We got home and reserved some movies at the redbox. I ran to the grocery store to grab some more fruit that I didn't get at market.  I picked up the movies and came home.  We watched Extraction with Bruce Willis but I ended up falling asleep.  Colin said it was good.

I just chilled out until it was time to put on my tpn.  I got everything together, put it on and layed down.  I had a terrible night.  I was up the entire night.  I think I may have slept two hours.

Hopefully today will be better.   Have a good day!!

Friday, March 4, 2016

Friday March 4

Today was actually a pretty good day.  I slept a decent amount last night.  Got up and put on my fluids this morning.

I have been doing research on essential oils.  I looked around here at target, ac moore, Michaels etc and couldn't find a diffuser or the oils anywhere.  I found them online at Walmart.com so I called the closest Walmart in Pittsburgh to see if they had them in the actual store and they do!!!  I made a small road trip and went to Walmart.  I was able to get the diffuser for $10!!!!  I was super excited about it.  And they had the oils for $2 a piece.  I got 4 different oils that are used to promote sleep.   I also got a new "adult" coloring book since I finished the one that Susie bought me.  Coloring is so relaxing for me.

After Walmart I stopped at the grocery store to get more bananas for Colin's smoothies because they are on sale right now for $.25 a pound.  I've been peeling and freezing them for his smoothies.  It gives them an ice cream like consistency.  I've been making him smoothies for breakfast this past week.  It's been kind of fun experimenting with them even though I can't eat them.

I got home and did some laundry and mopped the floors.  I was feeling pretty good today.  I didn't have much of a "fog" today.  I feel like I had a pretty good day.  I was alert and aware of everything going on around me.

I heard something today that I want to share....an amazing friend of ours - Seth Goodhart is holding a concert in June as a fundraiser for my transplant!!   It's being held in June.   More details to come at a later date.  I will post more information when I have it.  The creativity, generosity, love and support of my friends and family through this difficult time has just been completely overwhelming.
G

Kelly Schavnis is also hosting an event that I posted a couple of weeks ago.  It's a crafting event.  She has been working on it for weeks.   There still some time slots left if anyone wants to sign up.  I'll post the info again.   It's an awesome thing that she is hosting this fundraiser.   I'm so excited to see what the turnout is but I'm really sad that I won't be able to make it and physically be there.

Colin got home and we started watching Fuller House on Netflix.  We watched a couple episodes.  Then we decided to go for a walk.  We went over to Dick's to look for sweatpants.  They are crazy expensive.  I know I'm cheap but spending $60-$70 on sweatpants / exercise pants is just insane to me!!!  I don't know why someone would pay that much.   It's insane!  We stopped at Target and they were $30 there.  I can't see paying that either.  I think that's expensive.

We got home and I got my tpn ready and I'm laying down now.  I'm hoping to get some sleep tonight.   Have a good night!  Sweet dreams!!

Thursday March 3

I did not sleep at all....I am lucky if I got 2 hours total. Needless to say I "woke up" completely miserable.

I put on a fluid early and got myself ready for the day.  Colin needed something from the store so I ran over there quick for him.  Then I had some errands to run.  I dropped off his stuff and ran to the post office, the dollar store, Michaels, the grocery store and to target to pick up my melatonin they ordered for me.

I got home and started to not feel well.  By noon my fog started and just got worse as the day went on.  I was in it for the rest of the day until I went to bed.  I spent the afternoon/evening laying on the couch until about 7:30 when I got the energy to get up off the couch and put on my tpn.  I took my melatonin and went to bed.  I fell asleep around 10 or so and slept straight to about 2:30 this morning.  I was up a couple hours and then fell back asleep until 7.  I'm actually feeling well rested this morning so hopefully I'll have a good day :). I'll post more later!!!  Wish me luck!

Wednesday March 2

I'm a little behind on posting because I was pretty sick yesterday.

Wednesday was pretty uneventful.  I cleaned and organized some more.  I guess you could say I'm in spring cleaning mode.  My kitchen cabinets are organized with bins now so it's easier to find things.

I also did a couple loads of laundry.  I wasn't in a fog all day.  I actually had a really good day and was able to keep busy and keep moving.  I didn't sit down until after 4:00.  I made Ranch chicken for Colin for dinner. He sat down and ate.

After dinner we just chilled out and watched tv.  I put on my tpn and went to bed.

Tuesday March 1

Got up bright and early and went in to clinic.  They did the usual bloodwork, labs and gave me a bag of fluids.

The doctors made their rounds and everything looks good on my labs.  My ammonia levels are a little high yet but they are going down.  They are making some adjustments to my tpn.  I'm still going into my fog by the afternoon which is scary at times.

We stopped at target and dropped off my prescription.  Then stopped at redbox and got a couple movies.  We watched the Night Before. I ended up falling asleep and missed most of the movie.  I'll watch it today when Colin is working.  The other movie was Miss you already.  It was worth watching but I did cry at a couple points.

I made dinner and we just chilled out the rest of the evening.  Not sure what today will hold.  Have a good day!!

Monday February 29

Got up early and put on a fluid.  Took off my tpn, showered and got ready for the day.

Left the house around 9:30 and went to the dollar store.   After the dollar store I went to Dick's, the grocery store and then home.  I carried the groceries in and put them away.   I got a bunch of fruit and veggies to make smoothies for Colin so I cut and portioned things out so that when its time to make the smoothies everything is measured out and ready to go.

It took about two hours.  I had gotten some bins at the dollar store to organize a couple things in the kitchen so I cleaned and organized the spice cabinet and the top of the refrigerator.  I am going to tackle the other cabinets tomorrow.  Gives me something to do and makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something.

I was done around 2 so I put on a movie and layed on the couch.  I was able to take a quick nap for about an hour.   I was up and had to get my tpn ready around 4.  I had therapy at 5:30 and had to have my tpn on at 5:30 on Monday because we leave the house at 5:30 on Tuesday for clinic so I got everything ready and injected the bag with everything so that I could just hook it up and start it when I got to therapy so I wasn't running behind.

I went to therapy and got home around 7:00 or so.  When I got home I put on my pajamas and went to bed.  I have clinic today so hopefully everything will go well.  I will update later.   Have a great day!
